You ever live in a van for 3 and a half years and then find yourself stranded back home because of a global pandemic and you don’t know what to do with yourself so you start tearing out and fixing up your late grandfather’s house and hunting lodge? Well, that’s what happened to me…
What we’re about
“Eugene Boyd Gauger Sr. hammered what he thought to be the final nail into The Gauger House in the summer of 1962; A home he built for his wife Fay, and what would eventually become seven children. With new babies came additions to the house and in time, he built the family’s hunting lodge just across the corn field and visible from the kitchen window. The lodge became a family hangout and place to gather as those seven children went on to have many, many children of their own. Dozens of cousins later, I share this history with you as we welcome friends & family alike to join us in doing what we do best: hanging out.”
