The G Lodge, The Gauger House, & Fay Flower + Food Farm make up the Estate and are spread across two adjacent properties.
The Gauger Estate proudly serves the community as a Wedding and Event Venue, with a range of spaces suited for intimate gatherings, weddings of up to 165 guests, and larger concerts or public events hosting up to 350 people.
In addition to event venue rentals, we host long term residents, short term vacation rentals, mid-term stays, event supply rentals, camping, glamping, work-stay + volunteering opportunities & more.
The three pillars of the Estate
-
The G Lodge is our family’s hunting lodge turned community gathering space—a spacious, flexible venue sat on 29 wooded acres complete with a rustic cabin, two stages, a large covered pavilion, pond, nature trails, a-frame cabins, campground and so much more— this property is perfect for weddings, receptions, concerts, and community events as well as private romantic getaways and weekends with friends & family.
The Lodge has sleeping space for 8 inside the cabin and 12 total including the a-frames cabins. We also have a wooded area available as a campground, allowing our space to hold up to 350 for larger outdoor events.
The Lodge balances functionality with warmth & rustic charm. It’s a place where people come together intentionally, surrounded by nature, with space to celebrate, connect, and create lasting memories.
-
The Gauger House is situated just down the road from The G Lodge and is our historic family home turned intimate gathering and lodging space—a warm, character-filled house set on the original estate grounds. With thoughtfully furnished common areas, a welcoming kitchen, porch and yard spaces, and a lived-in feel throughout, the House is well suited for smaller weddings, family reunions, creative retreats, workshops, and overnight stays.
The House offers multiple guest rooms and shared spaces that allow groups to stay together comfortably while still having room to spread out. It’s ideal for those looking for a more personal, home-like experience—whether you’re hosting a meaningful gathering, settling in for a long weekend, or creating space for connection and reflection.
The Gauger House emphasizes comfort, authenticity, and ease. It’s a place to slow down, feel grounded, and gather in a way that feels genuine and intentional.
-
Fay Flower + Food Farm is our working farm and growing space, located behind the Gauger House and rooted in hands-on stewardship of the land. The farm includes seasonal flower beds, food gardens, and open green spaces that support on-site events, farm-based programming, and our wider community.
This space plays an integral role in weddings, gatherings, and retreats across the Estate—supplying fresh, seasonal blooms and produce, and offering a meaningful connection to where things come from. It also serves as a backdrop for quieter moments, small group activities, and experiences that center growth, sustainability, and care.
The Farm grounds the Estate in its agricultural roots. It’s a place where growth is visible, seasons matter, and gatherings are connected back to the land that sustains them.

You ever live in a van for 3 and a half years and then find yourself stranded back home because of a global pandemic and you don’t know what to do with yourself so you start tearing out and fixing up your late grandfather’s house and hunting lodge? Well, that’s what happened to me…
What we’re about
“Eugene Boyd Gauger Sr. hammered what he thought to be the final nail into The Gauger House in the summer of 1962; A home he built for his wife Fay, and what would eventually become seven children. With new babies came additions to the house and in time, he built the family’s hunting lodge just across the corn field and visible from the kitchen window. The lodge became a family hangout and place to gather as those seven children went on to have many, many children of their own. Dozens of cousins later, I share this history with you as we welcome friends & family alike to join us in doing what we do best: hanging out.”
