So what even is Dad Rock?
Dad Rock is a two week period every May that our friends & family come out to help spruce up the joint.
We’ll have projects aplenty, home-coked meals everyday, live music on the weekends, and massage for folks that go the extra mile. Everything for those two weeks is FREE. The “G” Lodge is a community-driven space, meaning it will not function without those folks (YOU) that come out to lend a hand.
So if you wanna get involved, here’s how you can:
Volunteer
Here is a rough outline of where we’ll be and what we’ll be working on, on any given day.
Lodge Projects
Staining the Wagon Stage, Ticket Booth & General Store (the season’s biggest Lodge project)
Clearing off the main stage and putting out the firepits, trash cans, lawn furniture
Weeding the garden beds
Planting flowers & vegetables
Organizing the raw materials area
Cleaning out the shed & utility room
Cleaning up and painting the communal kitchen
Erecting the glamping tent & setting it up

Painting the new siding
Building the camping platforms
Landscaping the front yard, planting flowers
Painting the new front sign
Cleaning out the big garage

Flower Farm
Pulling corn stalks, clearing land
Building raised beds
