The Gauger House Winter Book Club

The Gauger House Winter Book Club is Here!

This winter, let’s gather to read, reflect, and connect! We’ll meet 6 times total, on the 4th Friday of each month, from November through April and read 5 books. Each month, we’ll dive into a title that sparks thought, discussion, and connection.

Meeting Schedule:

November 22nd – Meet & Greet

We’ll introduce ourselves, enjoy warm beverages, and assign the first book to kick things off.

December 27th – Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer

A beautiful blend of indigenous wisdom and scientific knowledge, this book explores the intricate relationships between humans and the natural world.

January 24th – The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker

An essential read about trusting intuition and recognizing the subtle signs of danger, offering tools for personal safety and empowerment.

February 28th – What Does it Feel Like? by Stephanie Carson

This introspective book invites us to explore emotions, empathy, and the universal human experiences that connect us all.

March 28th – Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom

A heartwarming and profound story about life lessons learned through a series of conversations with a beloved mentor.

April 25th – This is Your Mind on Plants by Michael Pollan

An intriguing exploration of the cultural, historical, and scientific significance of three mind-altering plants: opium, caffeine, and mescaline.

Meet Your Host!

Prepare to be charmed by Sarah Colletta, our delightful book club guide! Sarah is a pizza aficionado and a proud ambassador of her rich Italian heritage. When she’s not savoring a slice, you’ll find her cozied up with her one-eyed, big fluffy sidekick, Honeybun, and a book she just can’t put down.
